Yes. During proceedings under Section 10 or Section 10A, spouses may settle finances:
- lump-sum alimony (Section 37),
- child expenses,
- property rights,
- loan liabilities. Courts routinely record settlements under Order XXIII CPC, and settlement agreements become part of the final decree. Mutual consent divorces require a written settlement agreement.
