GROUNDS FOR DIVORCE IN INDIA UNDER Section 13 of HMA:
- Adultery (voluntary sexual intercourse with any
person other than his or her spouse) - Cruelty (mental or physical)
- Desertion (2 years+)
- Conversion to another religion
- Unsound mind/incurable mental disorder
- Virulent and incurable leprosy
- Venereal disease
- Renunciation to religious order
- Presumed dead (7+ years absence).
