The Family Court may direct the husband (or wife in CrPC 125 proceedings) to produce:
- Income Tax Returns,
- salary slips,
- bank statements,
- property records.
Under the Evidence Act, Section 165, judges have wide powers to ask questions. If income is hidden: - adverse inference is drawn,
- maintenance is calculated on presumed capacity,
- maintenance may be increased.
Hiding income may also support Faskh for non-maintenance.
